Our story
The Malabar Food Festival was born out of a passion for preserving and sharing the unique cultural and culinary traditions of the Malabar region. Over the years, it has grown into a beloved annual event, drawing thousands of attendees from all over Europe and beyond. Each year, we strive to make the festival bigger and better, offering new experiences while staying true to our roots.

Our impact
We are proud to support local and international charitable causes through our festival. Last year, we raised £20,000 for charity, and we continue to strive to make a positive impact in our community and beyond. Our festival also provides a platform for small businesses and artisans to showcase their products and reach a wider audience

The Malabar Food Festival is organised by the East Midlands Malayalee Muslim Association (EMMMA), a dedicated team committed to promoting and preserving the rich heritage of the mappila culture in Europe. We aims to create events and platforms that bring people together to celebrate the vibrant culture of mappilas. We believe in the power of community and cultural exchange, and our events are designed to educate, entertain, and inspire
